Investments up to Rs.1.5 lac in PF, VPF, PPF,   Employee Contribution in NPS,Insurance Premium, Housing loan principal repayment, NSC, ELSS, long term bank Fixed Deposit, Post Office Term Deposit, etc. are deductible from the taxable income.
